EmbRACE 5k Fun Run

Our first donation event of 2020 was in support of The Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, an organization based in DC. We raised close to $1,000 for the organization and are looking forward to supporting them again in the near future!

This important month of April recognition was established as a way to underscore the vital role children play in the military community. Members of MBL and the Community Service group  honored the  Month of the Military Child by volunteering at the offices of ourmilitarykids.org on April 20, 2018 at the McLean, VA office.

Thanks to Montgomery County Volunteer Center for another great event on January 15, 2018 for Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service. MBL was thrilled to participate and offer our hands to prepare meals, make dog toys, and lots more!

Northern Virginia Family Services

CARE Awards Breakfast

What goes up, must come down! On Saturday, January 19, 2019, the Community Service Group took part in helping Wreaths Across America remove wreaths from Arlington National Cemetery.

In the spirit of Back to School season, on September 12, 2018, MBL held a fundraising event for DC Public Schools. MBL employees and families raised money and donated school supplies.  The Community Service group had a goal of $500 and our staff's generosity doubled it!  In sum, MBL raised $1,100 for the DC schools AND we donated a nice pile of school supplies.

On April 13th, MBL supported Mutt Love Rescue at an

adoption event for the second year in a row. What

could be better than a Saturday morning with

sunshine and helping puppies find their fur-ever home?

Our Military Kids

Wreaths Across America

We attended the Northern Virginia Family Services CARE Awards Breakfast in November. We met some wonderful people and loved hearing how other companies have implementing CARE values into their business processes. We also were super excited to be honored as a winner of the CARE Award! We are very proud of our accomplishments.

Another year means another year of support for MLK Day of Service with Montgomery County Volunteer Center! Team MBL took part in numerous activities, including making blankets for children receiving cancer treatments, on Monday January 21, 2019.

On December 17, we supported Operation Gratitude by holding a “Letter & Sweater” party – everyone wore holiday and winter sweaters and we wrote letters to military members overseas. It was a fun event!

DC Schools

Every year, MBL Technologies supports an organization for our holiday giving campaign. This year, we chose to support the Warrior Scholar Project, an organization in the DC Metro area that prepares veterans to enter a four-year university program by hosting a two-week, intensive preparation program. Donations fund course materials, room and board, instructors, and tutors. As a company, MBL Technologies collected approximately $1,500 in donations! Thank you to all who donated!

What goes up, must come down! On January 11 we once again supported Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery. This is an event we take part in every year.

HAPPY HOUR for our

military kids

On April 25th, we held a donation event in Tysons in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In total, MBL

raised over $600, and was also a putting contest sponsor

Our annual summer picnic was held in July – we had a blast but one of our favorite parts of the picnic was our Community Service Group activity. We filled backpacks with donated school supplies to be given to DC Public Schools.

The Homeless Children’s Playtime Project

On Saturday December 15, 2018, MBL Technologies supported Wreaths Across America - we have been supporting this event for almost a decade. More information about this event, which takes place over 1,4000 locations can be found at WreathsAcrossAmerica.org.

On Saturday June 16th, MBL volunteered for the 5K Run or Walk Event at Burke Lake Park. The event supported Community Residences, Inc. (CR), which provides programs and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis as well as homeless men, women and young adults. Everyone had a great time cheering on the participants and providing water for energy boost! It was a great sunny day to be out and about.

Warrior Scholar Project

In response to COVID-19, MBL Technologies donated to the DC Covenant House, an organization which provides housing and supportive services to youth facing homelessness. We also supported Team Rubicon and their wide-ranging efforts to protect veterans during COVID-19.

On Wednesday October 24th, the Community Service Group held an event at Continental Pool Lounge in Arlington, VA. This event supported not one but TWO wonderful and deserving causes: Ellie's Hats and Belvedere Elementary School. We collected TONS of warm, winter hats for Ellie's Hats & plenty of bags of Halloween candy for Belvedere Elementary School.

Thank you to everyone who participated!

DC Covenant House

“Letter & Sweater” party

On September 19 we held a “baby shower” in support of the Greater DC Diaper Bank. We ate yummy snacks and played games like “Guess the Celebrity Baby Name.” We are so thankful to everyone who donated baby food and supplies for this event!

MBL was thrilled to join Red Team Consulting  for their annual golf event benefiting Hope

for Henry- an organization reinventing how hospitals care for seriously ill children through innovative programs. It wasn't the best golf weather, so we are reminding ourselves that the importance of the cause is more important than our score! Thanks, Red Team for a great event!

In your Community-Golf Event

On June 13, members of the MBL Community Service Group visited one of our favorite local organizations, Our Military Kids. We spent the afternoon helping them around the office and putting together membership packets. Thanks for having us, Our Military Kids!
