Workforce Development

Looking for experienced, trained cybersecurity pros? Someone else already hired them.

We are in the midst of a national cybersecurity workforce crisis. Cybersecurity personnel with the skills needed to tackle modern cybersecurity challenges are rare and in high demand. However, resources are likely right under your nose – existing staff just waiting for the chance to expand their own skills. MBL helps you identify, train and retain staff within your own organization to develop a cyber workforce built for tomorrow’s challenges.

Cyber Workforce Gap Analyses

We assist organizations of all types and sizes in conducting cybersecurity talent gap analyses. This includes a review of the “to be” state of an organization’s cybersecurity skills inventory along with an “as is” goals assessment, leading ultimately to the development of a tailored cybersecurity workforce development plan.

We also help organizations develop tailored curricula that prepare your workforce to tackle your current and anticipated threats. This includes developing diversified training and blended learning solutions that optimize training methods for efficient and cost-effective delivery.

Federal Specific Solutions

The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework is revolutionizing the federal government’s approach to cybersecurity professional development. As reflected in NIST SP 800-181, the NICE Framework specifies cybersecurity workforce Categories, Specialty Areas and Work Roles. It provides a disciplined, mandated approach to developing a compliant cybersecurity workforce with clear cyber career paths.

To help agencies comply with NICE, MBL provides courses mapped to the NICE Framework. We also work within existing agency Learning Management Systems (LMSes) – or stand one up for you – to assess competency, track progress and provide the reporting needed to demonstrate NICE compliance.

Private-Sector Specific Solutions

Outside of heavily regulated industries, most private-sector organizations do not have to comply with the NICE Framework. But they can still benefit from a structured, disciplined approach to organizing and planning for their present and future cyber workforce.

MBL draws on its experience to develop custom online, remote and/or in-class courses and programs tailored to client-specific challenges and technical environments.
